Why have people started saying “I’m kin to x” “I kin with x” and the like? Are those correct and I just missed a memo? Because it’s bothering the hell out of me every time i see it
It bothers the hell out of me too anon. Proper form is X is my kintype of just ‘I’m X’. However, it seems to be accepted linguistic drift on tumblr, and its hard to fight it. I compromise by saying ‘kin of’ instead of ‘kin with’ to close the emotional gap created with that verbiage.
