You know, someone should write something on how many of the antis issues with the ‘kin community boil down to being either anti-religious (I.E. “All religion is dumb and all people who are religious or who believe in anything spiritual are dumb AND WRONG!” sorts of comments) or utterly ableist sentiments (I.E “All otherkin are mentally ill (because I said so).” Usually found alongside comments implying all mentally ill people need to forcibly be locked up). I mean, we see this across both informed AND misinformed posts, so it’s obviously an incredibly common standpoint, regardless of whether or not someone genuinely knows what they’re talking about. I just have to wonder why that is.
