Sorry if this is something you’ve answered a thousand times; I couldn’t see this specifically in the “FAQ” (at least not at first glance so ignore me or point me in the right way if I missed it). Out of curiosity, do you believe that someone who is fictionkin – not as a coping mechanism, because I see this commonly with coping kin to have multiple kintypes – can be kin to multiple characters?

Absolutely! This needs to go in the FAQ when I update it.

To clarify, I think that the exploration of being fictionkin can start as a result of coping. But once you’ve fully explored yourself to a…

poly-fictionkin anon here! I mainly see two types, people who identify as two characters in the same canon. (As in the same person being both Shinji Ikari AND Kaworu Nagisa from NGE) And, I also see people being kin with multiple characters from different canons. Your friend should stop being a douchebag. If he or she doesn’t understand why this is distressing for you, then you need to get a…

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the proper place to ask this, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I don’t personally identify as fictionkin, but I’ve recently gotten attached to this one character and it’s kinda weird… Like, I imagine them in my shoes sometimes when I’m out and about, and I act and think like them sometimes. Could I be fictionkin, or am I just overly infatuated with this character?

(Same anon who wants to know if I’m infatuated with a character or not) I forgot to mention, sometimes I also feel kinda like phantom…
