I was the anon that sent that “atheists can believe god exists” ask a while back… and it just occurred to me that an angel-kin who was an atheist/rejected god’s divinity would technically be a devil. IDK if the original anon asking about being an angel-kin + atheist is still reading this, but if you’re here, it’s something to consider!

You can be an atheist and believe that angels/god exist. Specifically, you can believe that the -entity- of ‘god’ exists, but not believe in the ‘divinity’ of that entity. Being atheist necessitates that you don’t believe in ‘higher powers’, but doesn’t explicitly mean that you don’t believe in spiritual entities. I could say YHWH is real, but not agree that he is [a] god. If I refuse the ‘godhood’ of all entities, this would still qualify as atheism.
