As an otherkin blogger, I’d just like to pose a question. What are your opinions on species dysphoria? 

My opinion on species dysphoria is that I experience it and am tired of it being shoved aside and not taken seriously because it’s not ‘respectable.’ 
My species dysphoria affects me almost as strongly as my gender dysphoria, at its worst. And I actively seek ways of relieving it and feeling more at home in my body, through prosthetics and body mods. But for the moment, experiences like mine are the subject of jokes and respectability BS, and I’m floored whenever someone actually takes it seriously. 

I want to be less surprised when people take it seriously.
