We’re a median system and so sometimes the lines blur between kin and system. Like, i am jade, jade is a part of me, but at the same time i am not jade. I get confused on terminology a lot and call my fictives kintypes sometimes. Advice, thoughts?

As a median system,  you lack a solid barrier between what is ‘you’ and what is ‘not you’. Given that that is simply your state of being, I think that its understandable for you to go back and forth between calling them kintypes and fictives.

The community does have a problem telling fictives apart from kintypes, but in your case it’s certainly justified. Someone with a clearer sense of self I would tell to meditate/introspect and figure out if their ‘kintypes’ are actually fictives or not, but that’s just not something you can do and that’s okay.
