i feel stupid for asking this but what does it mean to be in a system in the kin community? ive seen the term around but nothing has explained it?

First of all, the term ‘system’ is not a kin term. Its a term from outside of the kin community, and has nothing to do with otherkin.

A ‘system’ is a group of people who share the same body via multiplicity.
