Couldn’t you pose that argument about animals though? That any animal could think it’s a different one if it’s raised by another one? Like dogs raised by cats, humans raised by dogs, etc? So there’s no validity unless you remember seeing your own reflection and being able to recognize the animal now?

A duckling raised by dogs may love and cuddle with dogs, and may even think of itself as one, but it still can’t survive by eating dogfood. 

A dog raised by cats will never have retractable claws. It will never have the same kind of sense of smell that a cat does.

There’s a fundamental physical, chemical,intrinsic, instinctual difference between them.

Frankly, a dog raised by cats is more like an otherkin than anything else. A dog who is catkin.
