The more I think about it, the more sense “coping ID” or just “ID” makes over “copingkin”. A coping ID just means a form of identification with a character that helps a person. But adding -kin onto it drags in a completely unrelated community and gets everyone confused. Our experiences and words being watered down can’t help those with coping IDs very much, and it’s definitely not helping us…
