Okay people
Most religions (that I have seen, at least) are entirely faith-based. There doesnt necessarily have to be evidence of a powerful being existing in order for someone to believe.
now I know that sounds a little ridiculous at first, however lets take into consideration that some people (you know- LIVING, BREATHING people that have FEELINGS) believe these things as it helps them cope with the hardships of life. It doesnt hurt YOU personally if someone else believes in some God(s) and/or Goddess(es), or some sort of life after death, etc.
Just like it doesnt hurt YOU if someone is otherkin.
My opinion on otherkin has varied a lot the past 1-2 years, and right now I currently just let people do what they do. Otherkin is a lot like religion; it can SOMETIMES* even be tied in with it.*I repeat- SOMETIMES.
Before you go on and on about how otherkin is “stupid” and needs to just disappear, just use your goddamn brain for a fucking second and THINK:
Does it hurt you? No.
Does it hurt anyone? No.
Does it hurt the person that is otherkin? No.
In fact, you’re just shoving more sticks up your ass by being salty about SOMETHING THAT DOESNT HURT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE.tl;dr- Otherkin is similar to religion as it doesn’t need cold hard evidence to be believed in, so stop being assholes about it.
