I call this illustration “Otherkin”.
Otherkin are people, too. And many Otherkin seek the support and guidance of others in order to deal with the unique troubles that they may face.
If someone tells you that they are Otherkin, do not tell them that they are crazy, delusional, or mentally ill. It is wrong to assume that someone is any of these things just because they identify as Otherkin. It is not for you to decide.
If someone tells you that they are Otherkin, support them. You may not be able to understand or agree with them, but at least be there for them. If someone has told you that they are Otherkin then they are quite likely entrusting you with a close-kept secret. Do not betray their trust by belittling or judging them.
