The definition of alterhuman *according to the person who coined the term* is “A category of personal identity which encompasses identification that is alternative to the common societal idea of humanity.” Your re-definition excludes groups originally meant to be included by it.

Hey anon. Thank you for pointing this out. If you (or someone else) could tell me who my definition leaves out and how it could be reworded to include them, that would be awesome. I pretty much thought ‘identifies as nonhuman’ would cover it!

My definition in question:

Alterhuman: A member of the nonhuman/otherworldly community. Anyone who identifies as, or is connected to, a non-human, or as someone or something from or connected to a place other than this earth.
